My answer to your question would be Revenant since it not only has huge aoes but also has great potential for soloing open world bosses, Guard is also a strong pick for open world though. For open world it really doesn't matter much. Just play whichever you think seems most fun. 1. Metal_Thorn.
1 - Weaver. 2 - Everything else. 2. Kamikae_Varluk. โ€ข 1 yr. ago. 1 - Berserker it was my first ever elite spec and it plays how warrior should be, bursty angry and lots of damage. 2 - Vindicator because holy shiz the animations are crisp the rotations are fun, the damage and survivability are solid.
In our big class guide for Guild Wars 2 we introduce you to the best classes for PvE and PvP for 2023. Which class is best for beginners? Which one goes into raids and fractals? And which classes make up the current meta for Arena in Guild Wars 2?
Guardians have the lowest health (like elementalists) and go for a more magical /hybrid approach. Lots of guardians skills and utilities are group oriented, heals, protections, projectile reflects and more. Guardians are very good at taging lots of mobs with pulsing aoes and symbols, even with some ranged attacks.

Catalyst is basically melee if you go hammer or daggers. Id say hammer cata is 50% melee/ranged. Fire and air are both mid range and water earth are melee. As long as you dont mind missing the orb procs. Guardian strongest weapon is a sword and greatsword, and the class has a lot of access to blink/Shadowstep.

Lord Hizen has a YouTube channel on an open world build that can solo open world for every class and their elite specializations. Mesmerโ€™s 3 classes are Chronomancer, Mirage, and Virtuoso. It also has a bigger Health pool than the other 2. Mirage with Staff/Staff build is very simple and VERY effective.
